Confidence BoostStep back and think about all the opportunities that you have, to take your business to the next level. Is there anything that you don’t reach out for that could potentially take your business to the next level?
If you can think of just one thing, then that means there may be a lack of confidence which could be holding you back from achieving success.

A lack of confidence is one of the biggest challenges for many business people. While it doesn’t always keep them from being successful, it does keep some of them from achieving maximum success.

When your confidence is high

When your confidence is high, you’ll shoot for anything and everything that will make your business the best it can be. You’ll have no doubt in yourself or your business. You’ll hold your head up high and will go for any opportunity to grow.

So now that you know what high confidence levels are, what do you do if you aren’t at that level yet? Well, you work on the confidence you do have and strengthen it.

Boost your self confidence

As a life coach, I help clients all the time, take the confidence they already have and give it a boost. Today, you’re lucky, because you get an inside look into what I often coach my clients to do.

Confidence Booster #1:

Each day, do one thing that scares you that will enhance your business in some way. For example, network with someone who is of a higher authority to ask for his advice or call a high profile customer to sell a product.

Confidence Booster #2:

When rejected, look in the mirror and say, “This person did not reject me, he rejected my service or product.” Do this repeatedly.

Confidence Booster #3:

Positive self-talk includes language such as, “I have not failed because I have not quit. I will not fail because I will not quit.”

Confidence Booster #4:

Envision yourself at the height of success in your business. What does it feel like, what are the thoughts that go through your mind, what do you do, how do you act? Practice this vision. Approach your clients and potential clients with that vision of success. You have what it takes to make their lives easier and better. Give it to them.

Confidence Booster #5:

Make a list of things to do each day that you know you can do and do them. Each time you do them, cross it off your list. Each item on your list should be something that will help to grow your business and you should write next to the item how it is growing your business.

You can achieve brilliance

Your life is in your hands. You can do whatever you want with it. It’s time to muster up and go for what you want from life. Practice these boosters and do it for a few weeks, you’ll see that your confidence will slowly start to build. Once you see that you are much more powerful than you think, your ego will do the rest.

As someone that has been a waiter, I can tell you that learning number 2 is vital. When people reject what you have to offer, it does not mean, usually, that they are rejecting you. Maybe they found a product or service they liked better or felt they would be a better fit with. If you are experiencing a lot of rejection with what you are offering, instead of taking it personally, see if you can make a change with what you are offering that might make it more appealing.

  3. Exactly Grady! Rejection doesn’t mean they don’t like you as a person. It means they don’t feel the service will benefit them. This is when as a leader of your business, you should look at the service or product that you offer can help people like this in the future. Making changes to better serve a larger population will make your business grow and make you grow as a person – it makes you more self-aware of yourself and your business. If you view someone saying no as rejection – you’ll close down and turn yourself off and your business – it stops growth – by seeing it in a positive light will help you evolve into something bigger and better.

  4. Hello Marcelina,

All of your points are on target. I like this one best:

You have what it takes to make their lives easier and better. Give it to them.

That’s a mighty, powerful statement. Once a small business owner (or potential entrepreneur) accepts this as “fact” not fiction, it’s like a rocket booster! :)

    Thanks for pulling these together.
